5Michaylidis family, having a strong bond, over the decades, with vines and as amateurs-producers of wine, inspired its next generation to occupy with the vine cultivation. As a result, in 2004, Iordanis Michaylidis became to occupy professionally bottling wines. He also started to invest on a business plan about the ideal winemaking facilities, which intended to implement.

 Right now, the modern wine factory is in Agios Athanasios, in the prefecture of Drama.

Iordanis Michaylidis owns a vineyard of 90 square metres, which is a part of the Integrated

Management of Vineyards (Ecological Cultivation). This vineyard is quiet enough to produce the most 6cosmopolitan wine varieties, such as Asyrtiko, Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. French and Greek seedbeds have bought this wide range of varieties, which have been growing carefully, in order to fructify in 3 years approximately.

A bottled wine can be found in the markets with the label ANTHALEIA (anthi-flower).


The white wine occurred after the balanced mix of the exceptional varieties of CHARDONNAY & SAUVIGNON BLANC and was bottled in 2005, 7,000 items. In 2006, Michaylidis Domaine bottled the MELACHRO, a red wine of 2004 vine harvest. At the same vine harvest occurred 18,000 bottles from the varieties of SYRAH, CABERNET SAUVIGNON AND MERLOT. What made the French charismatic varieties known was the fact that the above-mentioned vine diversities stayed into the oak barrels for 12 months, before the bottling.
